The Tale of Two Bad Mice

In 2008 I was hired by Thistle Theatre to design and build a new bunraku puppet show based on Beatrix Potter's "Tale of Two Bad Mice". I spent several months researching materials to make the stage and puppets as light weight as possible, yet durable enough to last for years. The doll house went through many design changes in order to meet the evolving needs of the show. The front of the doll house is made up of panels which are removed to reveal the interior during the performance, and I engineered the stage in modular sections which seperate quickly for storage and travel.
